PĀLI SCRIPTURES - Part 2
[00:34:30]  March 1st, 2022

In today's episode, we'll be continuing Volume VII of "A History of Indian Literature" by K.R. Norman and Jan Gonda, entitled, "Pāli Literature."

Toward the end of this episode, in the YouTube version we saw footage from my visit to the 2200 year-old Buddhist caves, stone-carved Vihaara and Stupa, in Mara mountain Maharastra, India. While seeing those images, we heard Theravadin Buddhist Monks chanting in the Pāli Language in a mystical land known as Redwood Valley, California. If you would like to hear the rest of those chants, Click Here.

The music in the beginning and the end is of this and all episodes of this series is from a particular recital of the medieval Japanese translation of The Heart of Great Wisdom Sutra, "Hannya Shingyo," with taiko drum accompaniment. To hear the rest of it, Click Here.
